Frequently Asked Questions about HOMELINK®

“Why is HOMELINK® involved in my health care?”
HOMELINK works with your health insurance company or has a direct contract with your health insurance company to access dealers that are members of our network. In doing so, HOMELINK works to give you and your insurance company the best equipment at the best prices.

“How does HOMELINK® know who to call in my area?”
HOMELINK maintains an extensive database of member dealers in all fifty states. Based upon your zip code, dealers are located and then contacted to ensure your address is within their delivery boundaries. Often times HOMELINK will contact you in order to ask if dealers are within a comfortable distance of your home.

“Where is HOMELINK® located?”
HOMELINK is located in Waterloo, IA, with a branch office in New Hampton, IA.

“Why does HOMELINK® call to ask me about my delivery?”
Because HOMELINK manages a network of over 5000 dealers, we want to ensure that you are satisfied with the dealer, the equipment or services that you received, the delivery personnel and the possible training you may have received on your new or rented equipment. It is important to us to know that you received the best possible care and service from the business that we selected for you.

“Will I receive a bill from HOMELINK®?”
HOMELINK will wait to receive a copy of your Explanation of Benefits from your insurance company . If there is a balance to be paid, HOMELINK will send a detailed bill explaining the charges.

“What if I need something different, or if something is not working properly?”
This will depend upon your insurance plan and the directions that they set forth in the plan information. If you are unsure, you can always call HOMELINK and we will help to find the answer for you.

“Why did I receive a Notice of Privacy Policy from HOMELINK®?”
You received a notice because HOMELINK recently assisted in providing you with equipment or services. HOMELINK is required by law to notify you of how we maintain the laws of keeping your healthcare information private and confidential.

“Do I have to mail back the signature slip enclosed with the Notice of Privacy Policy?”
Again, HOMELINK is required by law to make a reasonable attempt to note that you have actually received the Notice. If you phone the number on the brochure, a note can be made and the slip does not have to be mailed back.
